You could be the greatest guy in the world, but I just won't take any chances when it comes to my daughter. I would just feel safer with a female in the house, as compared to a guy. I hope you understand and would expect any father to feel the same way. As far as what I'm looking for in a roommate; as I've said, someone who I will get along with and who is respectful of the fact that they are sharing a house with another person. All I ask is that you pay the rent on time; you clean up after yourself and lend a hand in keeping the house clean, that's pretty much it. If you smoke, please understand there is no smoking in the house whatsoever; there is an ashtray on the patio out back. I've been asked a couple of times how far the house is to UNC. I work on the north end of UNC's campus and it takes me about 30 minutes depending on traffic. <![CDATA[Hello, I've posted this a couple of times, received a few replies, no matches yet... so thought I would try again. I'm a swm in my 30's. I'm attractive, fit, good personality, business professional, have a nice home, fenced yard with a pool and all the amenities; I'm also a single father who shares custody of my daughter with her mother. Between the time with my daughter, work, work around the house, etc... I've found it very difficult to get out and meet new people. I've also been considering renting out a room to help with expenses, have some company when my daughter is not at home and to just make the house feel more like a home if that makes sense. So I thought why not try and combine the two... I've actually received a few substantial replies which suprised me. So I still think that there is a chance of something like this working out... I understand this is Craigslist, so we'll have to meet obviously, make sure there's a mutual interest, we're compatible, have similar interests, that you like the house, etc. before someone were to move in. Basically I'm looking for an all around good person, who like me, misses the little aspects of being in a relationship and would benefit by being able to save some money while living in a nice home, in a safe neighborhood. So as to the type of woman I'm typically attracted to... Someone who is slim to medium build. I'm 6'2, 215lbs and work out regularly. Long hair is a plus. Have a good personality, fun, laid back, enjoys bbq'ing, a cold beer on a hot day, snuggling on the couch, watching a movie in a pair of sweats and baseball hat on a cold night or can dress up for a night out on the town. I don't care if you're in school full time or work full time, but please have some direction and goals that you're trying to achieve. If you're a single parent as well and have a little one in the 2-4 year age range, that would be an option I'm open to as well as my daughter is in that age range. Again, this is definitely an unconventional approach, but I think if I met the right person it would be possible. If this were to work out, we would both benefit from the situation by being able to save some money, have a nice home to live in, companionship, friendship, etc. I'm open to different options...
