<![CDATA[I rebuilt this 86 Savage (LS 650) a few years ago and during the rebuild i created a one of a kind. due to my circumstances right now i need to sell it fast. I just put a new battery in it and it started up and idles fine except the carb is leaking so i had to shut it down before we were both on fire. I know the carb needs a rebuild so the bike is being offered at a low price and hopefully who ever gets it knows how easy it is to rebuild these carbs and just does it yourself. i just dont have time to be bothered i will start the bike for you to prove she actually runs but will have to turn off quickly so it doesnt catch fire. it has been in the garage and not rode since 07 i think so clearly the gas that was left in the carb turned to varnish. when its not leaking gas it rides great. it is a 4 speed gearbox not the five speed that the newer ones got. this is the first year savage was made so its the beta test either way its a bad ass little bike, light easy to maneuver, smaller than a HD sportster but belt driven with a huge rear sprocket so lots of torque off the line. will run hard with most any cruiser top speed is about 95 so you wont run with the crotch rockets but its a fun bike to ride and offered at a low price. the season is now you can be on the road cheap and easy if you are willing to do your own work. if not Barnetts suzuki would rebuild the carb for you i just dont know what the cost for that would be. Do it yourself... The fairing is by Dead center cycles (deadcentercycles.com) it mounts right on your existing windshield hardware and can be detached and the windshield used if u like. It has a quick disconnect that takes abot 30 seconds to disconnect and remove. It has a locking mechanism that locks it to the bike for security. It has a pioneer radio that reads cd and mp3 format cds, it is set upr fo rxm radio already, has 2 poolk marine speakers that aren't affected by rain. <![CDATA[1999 Kawasaki KZ1000P18 KZ1000 Police Service Motorcycle 5481 Incredible Low Miles Only One Available 1999 Kawasaki Police Service Motorcycle. Was purchased new in 1999 by the State of North Carolina, for North Carolina State University in Raleigh. In 2001, the ownership was transferred to The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, with 2,067 miles. The bike was parked sometime in 2005. 5,445 miles at my purchase was documented by the title, and the Odometer Disclosure Statement filed by the UNC Public Safety property officer. Cosmetic condition is excellent. There are a few dings/scratches/wear marks/etc- most appear to have been caused by storage. The bike looks like a 5,000 mile bike should. There are the remains of the word �POLICE� along the bottom of the windshield, faded into the Lexan. Both saddlebags are scuffed, as a result of the decals being taken off. The Front Pursuit lights, and the rear side Reds are non-functional, as the wiring was removed from all of the police equipment. The Siren was removed, but the bracket remains. Tail lamp lens has a small, repaired crack on the top. Mechanically, the bike is nice, and runs great. The Dunlop tires were replaced just prior to storage, and they are like new. I changed the oil and filter, replaced the air filter, properly adjusted the clutch, and replaced the battery. A visual inspection showed the clutch plates to look nearly new, with no overheating discoloration. Due to long term storage, I would suggest a carb synchronization, and valve clearance check, but again the bike starts immediately, and runs great after a brief warmup, just as it should. Bike is very nice, but is sold as-is, without warranty of any kind. I have described the bike as best that I am able, but I am not a motorcycle mechanic. It�s not likely, but there could be hidden damage, from extended storage, improper maintenance, or possible hard use (again, not very likely on either of these college campuses). This bike would be great for someone looking for a nice highway tourer, a collector of police vehicles, or a department looking for a nearly-new KZP at a budget price.
