<![CDATA[I have experience teaching classes at UNC-CH in the Math Department during my time as a graduate student there, and offer myself as an experienced and patient tutor to those wishing for help in their mathematics and math-related courses. I have helped students improve their performance in classes such as Basic Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, especially, and can also help the student in upper level undergraduate courses such as Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, and more. Since I have taught some of these courses (Math 110, 130, 231-2) in totality (writing lectures, homeworks and exams, grading, and holding office hours, etc.), I feel that I can offer good insight into the courses as a whole, and not only on the level of individual pieces of material. It has been my experience, as an instructor, that the student who SEEKS HELP EARLY and OFTEN during the course of the semester, regardless of his/her estimation of native skill in mathematics, will eventually out-perform his/her counterparts, on average. Therefore, I encourage all students to seek help as soon as they feel overwhelmed or outpaced by the material, whether from private tutors or the resources available at school. The advantage of dedicated, one-on-one instruction from an experienced tutor who is not limited by the demands of others cannot be overstated, in my opinion. I live in Chapel Hill, but am willing to travel to Durham, or even Raleigh (albeit possibly at slightly higher rate), and am also willing to meet at any reasonable location. Most students tend to choose coffee shops or libraries, but I can also come to you, or if needed can tutor from my home (with some restrictions).
