Her name is Suzy and she slipped out of her collar during the thunder storm (extremely afraid of loud noises) and bolted so no ID on her. The identifying mark on her is on the top of her right rear paw. There is a spot approx the size of a dime where the fur is missing and only slightly has grown back. I found her roaming the steets of Youngsville 1 1/2 yrs ago. She was obviously a hunting dog as she had 3 large numbers written in black on both sides of her body. Searched for 3 months for owner. Nobody ever responded. As I have come to see that she is afraid noises, I felt she was probably abandoned for good. I have spayed her and given her a good home with numerous other pets to play with. I would like to find her and get her back home. I expect she will travel a great distance so don't hesitate to answer ad even if you are note real close to Youngsville. <![CDATA[At around 7pm on August 26th, I was walking my dog at Lake Lynn and was approached by a woman who had a dog with her that she said she had found. It was a medium sized dog that was short and long(ish). It had tan hair with a white chest (maybe more markings that I can't recall). It looked like a beagle/corgi mix or something. It was very friendly, but slightly underweight. It had a black collar on with no tags. I do not have the dog, but I advised her to call animal control to have it taken to the shelter where hopefully it can be reunited. She couldn't keep it. If you think this might be your dog, I suggest calling the shelter, or walking around Lake Lynn. She seemed to know some people there and she was pushing a Maltese in a stroller. I'm sure people would know who she was. ]]>

She is young around 1yr old She isn't microchipped, we had her checked at the local vet for that. She was found on knightdale-eagle rock road near the wendell falls pky exit off the 264/64 bypass on tuesday August 24th. She had no collar and she is all skin and bones. She is a sweet girl, pottey trained and walks well on a leash so we know someone has trained her. We have searched all over for her owners with no matches so as of Thursday August 26th we have surrender her to the Wake County SPCA, where she will be held until reunited with her owners or adopted out since this is a nokill facility. It had an injury on it's stomach, vet was unable to tell if it was a bite or a fix that the stitches had come out of. I am currently keeping it in my home until the infected wound gets better. She is very friendly and loving. She is in pain currently and I will be keeping her if no one claims her. He has long black hair and he has a micro-chip. He's a very shy boy and will run if approached, even by people he knows. He's very large, 14 lbs and his long hair makes him look bigger than he is!
